Developed by PeopleReady, this platform serves as a digital staffing solution, allowing users to browse, apply for, and manage shortterm gigs and shifts directly from their smartphones. The primary appeal of JobStack Associate is its focus on putting users in control of their work schedules, offering a streamlined way to find local jobs that match their specific skills and availability without longterm commitments.

Onboarding and Profile Setup

To begin using JobStack Associate, new users must complete a digital onboarding process to become an official PeopleReady employee. This involves entering personal information, work authorization details, and setting up payment for payroll, as all work through  JobStack Associate is performed as a W2 employee. Users then define their job preferences, including their location, available skills, and desired types of work. This initial setup within JobStack Associate is crucial for  JobStack Associate to accurately source and recommend relevant job listings.

Browsing and Selecting Local Jobs

Once their profile is active, users can browse a constantly updated list of available jobs in their area. The JobStack Associate interface displays shifts across various industries, including warehouse, event staffing, general labor, and cleaning roles. Each listing details the job requirements, location, duration, pay rate, and what to bring. Users of JobStack Associate simply scroll through these opportunities and select those that fit their skills and schedule, applying for them with a few taps.

Managing Accepted Shifts and Work Schedule

After accepting a job, the shift appears in the user’s schedule within the JobStack Associate app. The platform provides all necessary information for the assignment, including the worksite address, point of contact, and start time. Users manage their entire work calendar through this section, keeping track of upcoming commitments. This organizational feature of JobStack Associate helps workers efficiently balance multiple gigs and avoid scheduling conflicts.

PostShift Feedback and Personalized Matching

A key function of JobStack Associate is its feedback system. After completing a shift, users are prompted to rate their experience with the employer and the specific job. This input is not just for quality assurance; it actively trains  JobStack Associate’s recommendation algorithm. The more a user rates jobs, the more JobStack Associate learns their preferences and prioritizes showing them similar, highly compatible opportunities in the future.

Getting Paid for Completed Work

All jobs secured through JobStack Associate are paid through PeopleReady’s standard payroll system. Since users are W2 employees, taxes are withheld, and they receive payment for hours worked according to the company’s pay schedule, typically via direct deposit.  JobStack Associate itself does not handle instant payments but provides a clear record of all worked shifts and earnings, which users can reference for financial planning.
